Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get started?

Communication with me will begin once a contact me form is filled out. I will reach out to you
though email to schedule a time for a consultation call. During a consultation call, I will
introduce myself and my services, hear what you’re looking to work on, and we will both
decide whether or not it is a good fit to move forward. From there, we will choose a time to
schedule your intake session.

What can I expect from a typical session?

Sessions are 50 minutes in length and take place virtually through either Zoom or Doxy.me.
You will be sent the link prior to session. Due to services being virtual, I will confirm your
location prior to beginning each session. You will be required to be in a safe, comfortable, and
confidential space for services.

Do you take insurance?

I currently accept insurance through both Headway and Alma. During our consultation call, I
can input your insurance information to check your coverage if you haven’t already done so. If
I am aware of any upcoming changes on insurances I accept, I will communicate that directly
to you.

Why virtual counseling?

I chose to open a fully virtual practice because I have seen first hand how accessible,
convenient, and successful therapeutic relationships can be. It is important to know that virtual
services are not for everyone. If you’re working with me and you realize that seeing someone
face to face is important to you, we can work together to find that with another clinician in your
area!

How much do you charge for sessions?

My current out of pocket rate is $120 per 50 minute session.

When is your availability?

My current working hours are Tuesday & Thursdays from 9am-6pm. I do not currently offer
late night or weekend sessions.

My scheduling is subject to change. When you begin services, it is my preference that we
begin at a weekly basis to focus on creating a strong therapeutic alliance. As time progresses,
you may find yourself spreading out the frequency of your sessions. Due to this, I tend to
experience a lot of fluidity in my schedule. As time slots become available, I always
communicate new openings to my current clients.

Do you do Crisis Intervention?

As an outpatient therapist, my services are not intended for immediate crisis intervention. If
you are experiencing a crisis or need urgent assistance, I encourage you to reach out to your
nearest emergency services and/or proceed to the nearest emergency room.
If any crises arise during your time working with me, it is an agreement between us that you
utilize crises resources appropriately and immediately. When the crises stabilizes, we would
have conversations regarding appropriate level of care and safety interventions.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your services may cost.
